Sending a package to an overseas U.S. military base is relatively straightforward if you keep a few things in mind.
Overseas U.S. military bases are considered domestic (U.S.) shipments, which means you need to select the United States as the ship-to country. Do not select the country where the base is located. The city should always be either "APO" or "FPO" in a properly formatted APO/FPO address. Check the "This is a P.O. Box" field.
Please choose "Armed Forces (AE)" as the State option for the following:
- Armed Forces Europe
- Armed Forces Middle East
- Armed Forces Africa
- Armed Forces Canada
You also have the option of Armed Forces (AA) and Armed Forces (AP).
Here’s an example of a properly formatted APO address:
Name: PFC Jack Lyon
Address 1: 23rd Battalion
Address 2: Unit 1234, Box 56789
Country: United States
City: APO
State: AP
Zip/Postal Code: 96522-1215
Products up to 20x30 inches in size or under 4 lbs can be shipped internationally to APO addresses - so framed prints 12x16 (30x40 cm) or 18x24 (45x60 cm) can be sent but NOT 24x36 (60x90 cm)
It should be noted that FRAMED ORDERS CANNOT be sent using Express.
